Description

Joy does not always arrive as laughter or celebration. Sometimes it is a quiet breath, a peaceful moment, a loving connection, a spark of hope, or simply realizing that something beautiful is still waiting to be noticed. Each Intentional Joy Jar is created by hand as a small sensory ritual and a gentle reminder to look for those moments of sweetness within everyday life. It is meant to be seen, held, opened, smelled, and returned to whenever you want to intentionally reconnect with joy.

Inside each jar is a thoughtfully chosen collection of botanicals, crystals, symbols, scent, and handmade details. Red and green moss form an earthy foundation representing grounded joy, growth, and being present enough to notice the good already around you. Lavender, personally harvested by me, brings an intention of peaceful joy, softness, and comfort, while colorful hibiscus represents vitality, beauty, passion, and fully experiencing the life in front of you. At the heart of every jar is a small piece of coffee-dyed paper with gently burned edges and the word Joy written by hand, carrying a little piece of personal intention from my hands to yours.

The crystals and symbols inside were chosen with just as much intention. Rose Quartz is traditionally associated with love, tenderness, compassion, and emotional warmth. Raw and polished Garnet represent vitality, passion, strength, and feeling fully engaged with life. Grape Agate is often associated in modern crystal practices with tranquility, intuition, and wonder, while Lemurian Quartz points are commonly used for clarity, meditation, and focused intention. A Rose Quartz Heart serves as a reminder that joy can begin within your own heart and ripple outward into the way you love yourself, connect with others, and experience the world. A small brass key represents unlocking joy, recognizing possibilities, and remembering that we can intentionally create space for meaningful moments of happiness.

Tied around the outside of each jar is a colorful hummingbird charm. The hummingbird was chosen as the symbol of this collection because it beautifully represents resilience, adaptability, and seeking sweetness. It is a reminder to notice the little things, remain curious, and recognize how much beauty can exist within even the smallest moments.

The Scent of Joy

Each jar is scented with one of my favorite happy combinations: Lavender, Grapefruit, and Spearmint.

Lavender brings a soft, comforting floral aroma. Grapefruit adds a bright citrus note, while spearmint brings a fresh, crisp finish. Together they create a refreshing yet comforting fragrance designed to make opening your jar feel like its own little ritual.

How to Work With Your Intentional Joy Jar

Place your Joy Jar somewhere you will notice it often, such as beside your bed, on your desk, near your favorite chair, on a bookshelf, or within your sacred space.

When you want to reconnect with the intention of joy, hold your jar for a moment and notice its colors, textures, crystals, flowers, and symbols. Open the lid and gently waft the fragrance toward you. Find the handwritten word Joy tucked inside and allow it to bring your attention back to the present moment.

Then name one thing bringing you joy right now.

It does not need to be something big. It might be your morning coffee, sunlight coming through the window, your pet sleeping nearby, a favorite song, a kind message, a memory that makes you smile, or simply a few quiet minutes to yourself.
